Order Aqiqah
Before placing an Aqiqah Order
Once the baby is born, you may wish to consider some details before placing an order for Aqiqah
(i) decide which animal you want to sacrifice for Aqiqah
(ii) choose between Lamb (17-21kg carcass) and Sheep (25-35kg carcass) with cutting & delivery options
(iii) consider the number of animals (traditionally two animals are offered for a boy and one for a girl but there are no limits as to how many you do)
(iv) decide the day you want the zabiha to be performed
(v) consider if you do not want the plucks (heart and liver)
(vi) confirm how you would donate the Aqiqah skin value (the skin & other offal value MUST NOT be sold for personal gain but its income must be given in charity to the poor. The value is £4 for lamb and £2 for sheep. We may give this to our nominated charity Islamic Relief should you wish to donate through us)
Placing an Aqiqah Order
Once you have determined your requirements, please complete and submit the Aqiqah order form linked below atleast two working days prior to your desired Zabiha day.
Once you submit the order, you will receive an email confirmation from us with payment instructions. Payments are accepted by bank transfer to our Riba Free bank account. The bank details will be available in the confirmation email that you will receive. Once we receive the payment, the Aqiqah shall be scheduled by our Zabiha team. Aqiqah is usually performed in the morning (before midday).
Collection
If you have requested collection of your Aqiqah carcass(es), you may be asked to collect the following morning from our abattoir at Dale Street, Craven Arms SY7 9PA
Delivery
If you have ordered full cutting with delivery option, your carcass shall be stored in the chiller for maturation and will be cut on a Wednesday following the day of Zabiha. Your meat box shall be despatched on Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning for a next day delivery.
The meat cuts will come in their primary packaging and then put in a carton which also contains ice blocks to keep the meat cold for 48 hours.
